Merino and possum merino
What is possum merino?
Possum merino is a textile blend that combines fine merino wool with fibre from the New Zealand brushtail possum. Some products also include silk, nylon or other fibres, and blend percentages vary, so check the garment label.
Is every possum merino product made in New Zealand?
No. The fibre story and New Zealand branding do not automatically establish where a garment was manufactured. Verify the country-of-origin label for each product.
What is the difference between possum merino and merino wool?
Merino wool comes from merino sheep. Possum merino adds brushtail possum fibre and may include other fibres. Feel, warmth, weight and durability depend on the exact blend and construction, not only the category name. Read our possum merino versus merino wool guide for more detail.
Mānuka honey
What is mānuka honey?
Mānuka honey is honey associated with nectar from the mānuka plant. For New Zealand export, honey labelled as mānuka must meet the Ministry for Primary Industries scientific definition and be tested by an MPI-recognised laboratory. It should be treated as a food; this page does not make medical claims.
What do UMF and MGO mean on mānuka honey?
They are grading information used on some mānuka honey products. UMF is a certification system used by licensed brands, while an MGO number refers to the measured level of methylglyoxal. These labels do not guarantee a medical outcome. Compare the exact product label and verify certification claims with the relevant scheme.
Can I take mānuka honey overseas?
New Zealand allows travellers to take honey out in checked or hand luggage, but your destination country's customs and quarantine rules still apply. Honey over 100 ml or 100 g may be restricted in cabin baggage if bought before airport security. Commercially packed, unopened products are easier to identify. Check both your airline and destination authority before travelling.

How long does delivery take?
Delivery time depends on the destination, carrier, stock and customs processing. Use the estimate shown at checkout where available, or contact us before ordering if timing is important.
Do you offer free New Zealand shipping?
